Lydiate Abbey:
This was going to be one of our scenes for the second part of our trailer featuring the Old Man, sadly though during the reshoot the area was bogged down which made it impossible to film at this location. Because of this, we had to adopt a similar area called 'Lydiate Hall'.
Lydiate Hall:
This was our back-up location to shoot the rest of the Trailer. Here involves the 'Old Man' scene including various running scenes. This place was really good to film as it was very quite and secluded so that there would be virtually no interruptions to the filming process here. There are many small sections to the ruins so that we had a lot of places to film without it all looking the same. The whole building added an eerie and atmospheric feel to the trailer i believe, and that because it was in the same area as the Woodland, the transition of scenes between one another would look very smooth.
Woodland Area (Adjacent to Liverpool Road North):
This was the main area for the shooting of our trailer, this was because it was a wide expansive area to shoot. Another reason is that despite it being a public area it was rare for people to interrupt the shoot as it is quite hard to enter the area. We had to be careful here as the was a lot of dead branches, debris and litter, therefore he had to make sure where we where walking at all times. It was also very useful here because he could shoot high-angle shots from the trees.
